The culture of our practice is a little different to that of other firms. Here are a few of the things that we do differently at Hedland Accounting...
1. We take the time to get to know our clients
You're not just a number to us. We deliberately keep our practice small so that we can provide personalised service to every client. We know your name and your business, and we look after you.
2. We aim to get it right the first time
We concentrate on getting the basics right. We return phone calls, we answer questions quickly, we lodge forms on time, and we keep our promises. Getting it right the first time, every time, is the cornerstone of how we operate and how we add value.
3. We know private business inside out
We specialise in providing accountancy and consulting services to private business. We don't work with government bodies or charities. We have an in-depth knowledge of the accounting regulations, financial strategies and tax laws that affect private business. This allows us to provide our clients with first-rate advice and superior solutions.
4. We know Pilbara businesses inside out
We are a Pilbara business too. The remote area tax concessions that apply to your business also apply to ours, so we make sure we are on top of these at all times. The Pilbara business grants and employee incentives that are available to you, are also available to us, so of course we keep on top of these too.
5. We stay up to date
We go to great lengths to make sure we are up to date with the latest tax changes. We spend approximately 25 hours a month on training and study to keep up to date with the latest changes and prospective changes.
6. We are local but international
We are a local practice with expertise developed from working in one of Australia’s largest international accounting firms. We can handle highly complex financial matters, but if you have issues beyond our expertise, we will know people who can help you..
Dan contacts us when grants are available for Hedland businesses. He got us a $20K grant to help buy a new truck for our business. I spoke to my mates about it and their accountant didn’t even know about the grants. That’s why I use a local accountant. We are soon going to apply for another $20K for a bobcat.
Dan is a very informative and professional accountant. He has worked extremely hard by helping to get our business back on track after having a bad experience from another accountant. For this, we will be forever grateful for his time and efforts. He has a strong work ethic that is evident in the way he deals with his clients and the knowledge he is willing to share. Thanks heaps Dan and the Hedland Accounting team!
After coming from a large accounting firm it was a breath of fresh air dealing with Dan from Hedland Accounting. He has exceeded and surpassed all expectations. I would highly recommend Dan and his staff. He can easily convert complex taxation to Aussie layman’s terms and we love the fact he is local.
Dan Collins has looked after all of our business & personal tax work for the last 5 years. Dan has always provided the best advice and service possible that you could wish to have when running your own business. Nothing is too much trouble and Dan is always available to provide assistance in a professional and courteous manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Hedland Accounting and Finance to friends and colleagues.
Since we transferred from using an accountant in Perth, Hedland Accounting have really done great things for us. Their local knowledge has been invaluable. They just know how Hedland works.
We like that we can check in with Dan before making the big decisions. He helps us make the right decision the first time and explains everything until we understand it.
